Shangri-la by definition is a mystical, harmonious valley. It is synonymous with any earthly paradise, a permanently happy land, isolated from the outside world. Normally assoicated with Himalayan utopia made famous by the Novel "Lost Horizon". Julie and Gary's 'Shangrila' however can not be described as the above for it is not located in the Himalayan Mountains which I presume is why the hyphen was left out though everything else in the name and definition are spot on.

I ride here every week and can't imagine anything more relaxing than riding their miles of forest trails. I often ride with groups that are staying at Shangrila, usually families with children, experienced and inexperienced riders and they always seem to be enjoying themselves.
