Very busy, was seated in a room with a beautiful view and we dined alone; no screaming children or adults who act like children. The tea was the best I've ever had. Went for the buffet, large selection, had a plate of veggies and tried the ham and roast beef. Only complaint I had is the plates are cold from the buffet which chills your food, no matter how wonderful the food is. Received a brief history about Ernie's, from our server. She rocked!!! Will definitely be back!
There was a time when people didn't go crazy over every little tidbit of news. There was a time when enjoying good food meant dining instead of just eating. There was a time when you walked into a restaurant and were welcomed by the owners with a hug from her and a handshake from him. There was a time when people laughed and even conversed across tables and booths and did so without thumbing handheld devices. There was a time when beautiful music filled a tastefully decorated restaurant setting full of warmth and ambience.
fried chicken was good but a step away from southern fried chicken.sometimes in my opinion restuarants add too much to simple down home recipes and tend to turn the original expectations of taste into a complete turn off by doing too much to a simple recipe
Went there Saturday evening for the seafood buffet and we were very disappointed! We called to see their hours and were told they close at 9:30pm. We arrived at 7:35 so we expected the buffet to be fully stocked -wrong! There were 5 hushpuppies thrown in with a few french fries, unidentifiable "seafood", 5 or 6 pieces of fried chicken(and I heard several other customers ask if they were bringing more chicken), plenty of ribs which I admit were tasty but it was a very sorry excuse for a seafood buffet. It would be helpful to a least label what the items are, and if the buffet is going to be open until 9:30 then it should be stocked with fresh food. For the price of $15.95 I would have expected far more!!
We went on weekend during seafood buffet. We had over 15 in our party, and wasn't accommodated in Clarksville where we were staying. Staff here was super friendly and attentive. In my opinion, there wasn't a lot of sides on buffet, but if you like seafood, it makes up for it. The fried oysters were just like my mother's recipe. Definitely worth a visit with the structure and backyard views. Will visit again!
