Room had been remodeled recently but could have been cleaned better (example: dirty pillowcase, hair in the tub & sink) considering the price. The comforters feel like glorified plastic, so be prepared to pull that off to sleep comfortably. Front desk staff throughout the stay was very nice, (thankfully) easy to understand and accommodating with any questions we had.
Price was good. Cheapest place in town. (Husband picked it, not I). I was surprised by the really nice updates like the granite and fixtures in the bathroom, but nice isn't nice if it's not clean. The whole place had a damp odor. Walked into the room, dampness hung in the air. Just being there made me feel gross. Didn't even wanna take off my shoes or sit my bag on the ground. It's not the worst place we've stayed at, but it could definately be a whole lot cleaner.
The beds we're comfortable. TV took a little long to turn on.
On our way to our room, we noticed that there was no AC in the hallways and this was a very hot day. We got to our room and it was hot. The AC had not been turned on so we turned it on to get the room cool. We didn't know that the microwave, refrigerator, TV, and lights were all controlled by 1 light switch until I called the front desk to report that none of the appliances worked. After a few minutes a second call was made to the Front Desk to report that the refrigerator was not working. The young lady said she would be up to check it out. Twenty minutes later, 4 people arrived to replace the refrigerator, so this must have been an issue they had known about, but had not done anything about prior to our arrival. The motel served its purpose, we had a place to sleep to avoid a 3hr drive home. Based on our initial experiences, I don't think I will be staying there again. I think that the room should be inspected and setup prior to guest arrival and the guests should not be walking the hallways thru sweltering heat, as if you were still outside.
Clean and updated rooms. Very friendly staff and owner. Pet friendly also! I would recommend.
